Wie prüfe ich, ob die Maske passt?

Setze deinem Kind die Maske auf und prüfe von hinten, ob der Silikonrahmen rundum – insbesondere am Kinn – sauber am Gesicht anliegt. Es darf kein Lichtspalt sichtbar sein. Wichtig: Von vorne wirst du offene Stellen sehen, weil der Rahmen keilförmig gebaut ist. Das ist normal und kein Zeichen für schlechten Sitz. Entscheidend ist nur die Ansicht von hinten.

Wie setze ich die Maske richtig auf?

Dein Kind legt das Kinn in die Maske. Mit beiden Händen hältst du das Gummiband und ziehst es über den Hinterkopf. Tipp: Haare vorher nass machen und nach hinten streichen – so hängen sie nicht vor den Augen und die Maske sitzt besser.

Mein Kind hat Kopfumfang XY – passt die Maske?

Der Kopfumfang spielt keine Rolle. Die Maske wird vorne am Gesicht getragen, nicht wie ein Helm. Bei normaler Entwicklung passt sie ab ca. 2,5 Jahren – ab spätestens 3,5 Jahren garantiert.

Mein Kind mag keine bunten Designs. Gibt es eine Alternative?

Ja – die Seaview X in S/M ist schlicht und neutral gehalten. Sie passt ab ca. 5 Jahren und kann bis etwa 12 Jahre getragen werden.

Kann mein Kind mit Brille schnorcheln?

Nein, die Bügel verhindern, dass die Maske dicht abschließt. Stattdessen bieten wir eine optische Sehhilfe an: Zwei Linsen (links und rechts getrennt wählbar) werden per Saugnapf im Inneren der Maske befestigt – ohne Werkzeug, ohne Klebstoff. Sie passt sowohl in die Seaview Kids als auch in alle Erwachsenenmasken.

Gibt es Ersatzteile?

Ja. Wir bieten Ersatzteile zum Selbstkostenpreis an – gerade bei Kindern geht mal etwas kaputt, und ein Ersatzteil ist günstiger und nachhaltiger als ein Neukauf.

The Seaview Kids has been tested by TÜV Rheinland according to test standard 2 PfG 2609:2019-04 for CO₂ build-up. The DIN EN 136 standard sets a maximum CO₂ concentration of 1 % in the inhalation flow as the limit value. You can view the full test report here as a PDF. Important: the mask is designed exclusively for calm snorkeling at the surface, not for freediving or intense physical exertion.

No. The temples of regular glasses prevent the mask from sealing properly. Instead, you can use our optical vision aid: you choose two lenses (left and right), clip them together and attach them inside the mask. Done.

Yes. Our optical vision aid is designed to fit both our adult masks and explicitly the kids' mask. Ideal for children who need vision correction while snorkeling. The lenses are attached inside the mask via suction cup, without tools and without adhesive.

Children should always be supervised in the water. It's best to start in shallow water or in the pool so your child can get used to the mask in a calm environment. Thanks to the full face design, your child can breathe normally through both mouth and nose, which makes getting started much easier.
