ENGINEERED FOR CO₂ SAFETY (TESTED): Because safety comes first, the Seaview Pro features completely separated inhalation and exhalation channels, along with dedicated safety valves in the exhalation system. This design helps prevent rebreathing of CO₂-enriched air.

The independent valve system inside the snorkel eliminates so-called “pendulum breathing,” ensuring exhaled air is efficiently expelled and reducing the risk of CO₂ accumulation.

CO₂ concentration in inhaled air and breathing resistance were measured in an independent laboratory in accordance with EN 136:1998, Section 7.18. The full test report is available as a downloadable PDF.

Independent research published on PubMed confirms that full-face snorkel masks can differ significantly depending on their construction. Models without clearly separated airflow systems, with very small breathing channels, or without additional safety valves may under certain conditions lead to elevated CO₂ levels. For this reason, we align our development with recognized testing standards such as DIN EN 136:1998, Section 7.18, where CO₂ concentration and breathing resistance are measured objectively.

TESTING & CERTIFICATION: The Seaview Pro has been tested in accordance with EN 136:1998, Section 7.18 (testing of CO₂ concentration and breathing resistance in full-face masks). All tests were conducted by an independent laboratory, and the applicable standards, test procedures, and measurement results are transparently documented in the linked report. Our masks also carry the CE marking as required under EU Regulation 2016/425 on personal protective equipment, confirming compliance with applicable European health and safety requirements.

Can I dive with the mask?

Yes, diving down to a depth of around 3 meters is possible without any issues. The snorkel automatically seals as soon as it goes underwater, preventing water from entering. For greater depths, pressure equalization via the nose is required, which is not possible with this mask.
If you want to dive deeper, we recommend the Seaview Pro Plus with pressure equalization.

Can I wear glasses?

No. The temples of regular glasses prevent the mask from sealing properly. Instead, you can use our optical inserts, which are installed directly inside the mask.

I’m between sizes S/M and L/XL – which should I choose?

The deciding factor is your face shape. If your face is round or fuller, choose L/XL. If you have a slim or narrow face, choose S/M.

Is the snorkel mask suitable for people with beards?

Partially. A 3-day beard is usually not a problem. From around 5 days of beard growth, trimming the beard in the sealing area is recommended. Anything beyond that may compromise the seal.

Is the mask suitable for children?

Yes, the mask may fit from around 12 years of age, depending on face size.

What do I need to do before first use?

The mask is delivered ready to use. Simply adjust the strap to your needs. Do not tamper with or remove the valves.

Is there a mount for an action camera?

Yes, an action camera mount is included and compatible with all common models.

Can I swim breaststroke with the mask?

No. This mask is designed for snorkeling. Breaststroke requires very fast and intensive breathing, for which the mask is not designed.

Can I breathe underwater with the mask?

No. As soon as the snorkel goes underwater, it automatically seals to prevent water entry. The air volume inside the mask is also not intended for breathing underwater.
